Supporting residents policy - 10. Training

All housing staff, including housing officers, repairs operatives and contact centre staff, will receive training to help them identify, record and respond to support needs in an appropriate and sensitive way. This will include training on:

  • safeguarding
  • data protection
  • equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • making every contact count
  • domestic abuse

We will provide additional training to relevant teams on customer care and on how to sensitively and appropriately recognise and respond to different needs. This will include training on mental health, learning disabilities, autism, dementia and sight and hearing loss.
