We will provide clear and comprehensive advice and information to tenants about our adaptations service. This policy and the adaptations service will be promoted to tenants through a range of media including leaflets, posters, newsletters and on our council website.

We will keep tenants informed throughout the process, letting them know the next steps and how long each stage should take.

When adaptations are approved, we will consult with residents and explain the scope and specification of the works and how long they will take to complete.

We will ensure that we lawfully share information between any relevant partners and organisations.

Where adaptations are refused in favour of a move to alternative accommodation we will provide support throughout the transfer application process.
