Council housing repairs policy - 12. Operatives conduct

We expect all our operatives, and anyone contracted to carry out repairs and maintenance on our behalf, to provide a professional and punctual service, protect residents' safety and privacy, and take steps to monitor customer satisfaction.

Repairs and maintenance operatives must show their ID badge on arrival to a tenants' home.

Operatives have the right to refuse to work on a site if they believe that either their own health and safety or that of any residents is at risk.
