We will meet the requirements relating to equality and diversity as laid out in the Equality Act 2010 by ensuring that we eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation. We will advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations between all residents, service users and staff.
In developing this policy, we have carried out an assessment to inform our approach. Our assessment did not identify any negative impact of this policy on any protected characteristics. It identified that the policy is expected to have a positive impact on groups who may otherwise be disadvantaged, in line with our Public Sector Equality Duty.
