Our Start for Life offer
- During pregnancy
A health visitor will see you by 30 weeks to assess your health needs and to discuss your preparation for parenthood.
- Birth to 3 months
Within 14 days of the birth a health visitor will make a home visit. You will also be offered a visit by an early years volunteer, who will talk to you about local support services. You will also be offered another visit between 6 to 8 weeks.
- 3 to 12 months
From 3 to 12 months you can contact a health visitor to ask questions and ask for support. They will also offer you an 8 to 12 month review. You can also attend one of our parenting programmes.
- 12 to 24 months
You will be offered a session to explore the language and communication development of your child. You will also be offered a health and development check with a health visitor.
- 24 to 36 months
You will be invited to a 2 year old health review at a family hub or children's centre. You may be offered follow up support if you need it. You can also access a free early learning place for your 2 year old.
