About the Local Offer for SEND

What the Local Offer (LO) is and help to access its information, the LO annual report, how we co-produce the LO with residents and decision makers, H&F strategies and plans for SEND.

Co-production and the Local Offer

Co-production means that young people, children, families and decision makers are working together in an active way to plan, design and review the local offer webpages to make sure it is useful to everybody who needs to use it and the information is accessible for everybody.

The monthly co-production hub brings the different partners together including Parentsactive, the parent carer forum and representatives from the different education, health and care services for children and young people aged up to 25. The hub discusses priorities, content design and best practice.

Alongside this there are focus groups with young people, parents and carers and partners where we need to work on things like pathways in more detail and or on specific pages.

The content pages go through a user testing process and changes are made based on feedback gathered through this process.

Young people are involved through the Hammersmith & Fulham Youth Voice and the community partner Action on Disability to plan the information. This helps us understand how young people access the resources, what they do or don't like to see on the website and to do key pieces of work on their priorities. During this process we follow the guidelines laid out in this document.

There are Have your say channels to share feedback. In this section, you will find the SEND surveys, reports and strategies that together with co-production build the local area approach.

If you are a provider who wants to be included in the directory please visit How to contribute to the family information directory or contact the local.offer@lbhf.gov.uk

All these sessions and resources help to understand what improvements the LO needs to make to increase the accessibility to the information about the support in the area and suggest what other services can do to improve their offer.
