Local volunteer and community groups have less than a week to apply for new funding from Hammersmith & Fulham Council.
We've earmarked a record £3.9million of funding to help support our local groups as they deliver projects or services for residents over the next three years. It's called our Third Sector Investment Fund.
Applications for the fund will close at 9am on Tuesday 1 October.
We are one of the few councils that still invests this heavily in their local community groups. It's an essential part of our work to make the borough a kinder, stronger and safer place to live.
How to apply and learn more
The purpose of the fund is to strengthen our support for H&F's voluntary and community sector so that we can better support our residents.
We want to help maintain a strong and capable third sector that is well equipped to support our rapidly changing communities, and help build stronger, active, and more connected communities across our borough.
Specifically, we're looking for groups who can help us to:
- build a better future for children & young people
- promote healthier, longer and more independent living, especially for Disabled residents
- create fairness, equity, and inclusion across our borough (including supporting refugees and asylum seekers)
- prevent poverty and its impacts
- continue to make H&F a great place in which to live, work and thrive – including for sports, arts and culture
- create a safer and more resilient borough for everyone
- tackle the climate emergency.
We've worked to produce the funding strategy as we support local voluntary and community groups with residents and organisations.
We will monitor the delivery of grants robustly to ensure they meet the aims of the fund.
