1. River Café – Thames Wharf W6
Based in Hammersmith riverside for 38 years, The River Café is the best place to enjoy some of London's finest Italian cuisine.
Michelin judges applauded River Café's traditional Italian cooking methods, bursting full of flavour, and judged it to have one of the best Italian wine lists in the city. You can even buy some of their products from the shop, if you fancy trying to replicate their success at home.
2. Harwood Arms – Walham Grove SW6
Berkshire Chinese Water Deer? Short Rib of Red Ruby Beef? These mouth-watering dishes might just represent the best pub grub in London at the Harwood Arms.
Here's what the Michelin judges said about Fulham's foodiest pub: "The cooking at this pub may be highly accomplished, but it still does what pub food does best: leaves you feeling eminently satisfied. The menu is British to the core and the owners supply much of the expertly cooked deer and game. Well-balanced dishes burst with flavour and allow each main ingredient to shine by keeping things simple."
Location: Walham Grove, Fulham, SW6 1QP
3. Endo at The Rotunda – Wood Lane W12
'Sushi in the clouds' is how Yokohama-born Endo Kazutoshi describes his restaurant on the top floor of the former BBC Television Centre in White City.
It's here at Endo at the Rotunda that Michelin Judges labelled Kazutoshi's restaurant as 'Sushi Heaven', blending imported Japanese ingredients with some of Europe's finest seafood to create dishes. High praise indeed.

How are Michelin Stars awarded?
Stars are awarded when a restaurant excels across five separate elements:
- the quality of the ingredients
- the harmony of flavours
- the execution of cooking techniques
- the way the chef's personality comes through their food
- and the consistency of a restaurant's food both across the entire menu and over time.
Judges visit and revisit restaurants around the globe numerous times to make sure the menu holds up over time and can even remove a star if they think the quality has dropped.
There are no points awarded for the style of restaurant, the service, or the location. Stars are awarded based on food and food alone.
