The Shepherd and Flock in Shepherds Bush has been named among the top five pubs in the capital by Time Out.
The London listings bible recently unveiled its list of the 50 best pubs in the city, with The Shepherd and Flock appearing at number four on the list.
Located at 84 Goldhawk Road, the pub is popular with Queens Park Rangers fans before games due to its proximity to Loftus Road Stadium. It is a cosy, intimate space, with traditional wooden interiors.
Time Out describes it as the "perfect winter pub" and recommends it as a great place to grab a drink before going to a gig at the nearby O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. It goes on to add that it "gets particularly busy on weekends, so get down early to guarantee yourself a seat".
A family-friendly, local pub
The Shepherd and Flock was originally built in the 1860s, and is currently owned by John McCann. John has been the licensee of the pub since 1983, and became the owner in 1996.
"I am very pleased that after 40 years we've been voted in the top four in London," said John. "It's a family, local pub with a good passing trade.
"The good thing about running a pub is that there's never a dull moment, it's never boring."
"People always return to the Shepherd and Flock because there's always a great pint, especially Guinness, that is served by our happy friendly staff."
