Fired up by the Olympics, and want to improve your own basketball skills? The West London Gators start a new season at Hammersmith Academy on Wednesday (4 Sept), and new recruits are welcome.
The club, which runs different age and ability groups, reopens at the top-class facilities in Cathnor Road, Shepherds Bush, at 6pm for six to 15-year-olds.
Every Wednesday around 350 club members polish their hoop moves at one of the capital’s most successful basketball clubs.
Last year the Gators’ U14s topped the London One Conference in Basketball England’s National League after a season in which they were only beaten twice. They now play in Basketball England’s U14 Premier Division.
