The Bush Comedy Festival returns to H&F this month, running from Wednesday 17 to Saturday 20 July.

It is presented by award-winning production company Berk’s Nest, with financial support from Hammersmith & Fulham Council. Venues include Bush Hall, Bush Theatre and Next Door Records.

It’s a great chance to catch some of the top names on the comedy circuit before they head up to the Edinburgh Festival. We’ve got tickets to give away to some of the most-anticipated shows of the festival - keep reading to find out to win!

Opening Gala

It all kicks off on 17 July with the Opening Gala at Bush Hall, headlined by Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and Netflix star Catherine Cohen.

She’ll be joined by Taskmaster New Zealand’s Two Hearts and Live at the Apollo’s Celya AB, plus many more exciting names and surprises.

That’s followed by a full programme of big names including:

  • Simon Amstell (18 July, Bush Hall)
  • Sarah Pascoe (19 July, Bush Hall)
  • Sophie Duker (18 July, Bush Theatre)
  • Matt Forde (20 July, Bush Theatre)
  • Grace Campbell (19 July, Bush Hall)

Laughs for all ages

Another show to look out for is Kiell Smith-Bynoe & Friends: Kool Story Bro (18 July, Bush Hall). The star of Taskmaster, Ghosts, and Stath Lets Flats brings his unmissable improvised comedy show to Shepherds Bush, with scenes inspired the audience! Previous guests have included Jamie Demetriou, Munya Chawawa, Charlotte Ritchie, and Guz Khan.

There are laughs for youngsters as well! Comedy Club 4 Kids (20 July, Bush Hall) gets the best stand-ups, cabaret and sketch acts to do their thing for an audience of children (aged 6+) and their families… but without the rude bits! It’s just like a normal comedy club, but kids are allowed in!
