The sounds of soul and jazz return to Fulham Palace this month.
Renowned Chelsea venue 606 Club has again teamed up with the historic SW6 venue to present its annual signature 'Jazz on the Lawn' series over two nights of live music.
The events on 15 and 17 July will see artists Rebecca Poole, AKA Purdy, and Hamish Stuart perform a funky mix of jazz music alongside their bands on the main lawn at the venue in Bishop's Avenue.
Performing on Friday 15 July at 7.30pm, Hamish Stuart will bring his blend of rhythmic soul and jazz honed working with stars including Diana Ross and Chaka Khan to the evening.
Best known as the original lead singer and guitarist with The Average White Band, the musician and songwriter has also worked with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
Completing the weekend's entertainment, Rebecca Poole – also known as Purdy – will take to the al fresco stage on Sunday 17 July at 6.30pm, alongside her band and saxophonist Brandon Allen.
With career highlights including touring with Jools Holland and singing in the popular Netflix series 'The Crown', Purdy will showcase a jazz set influenced by Nina Simone, Peggy Lee, Nancy Sinatra and Henry Mancini.
The relaxed evenings will be chance for visitors to enjoy the thrill of live music and bring their own picnic. Drinks and food are also available from the bar at the Palace.
