About Children and Young People's Services
In H&F we strive to be a place where every child has the best possible start in life, grows up feeling cherished, loved and realises their full potential as young citizens.
We are committed to providing the right support at the right time to enable our families and communities to be safe and healthy and for our children to thrive.
Our systemic practice model is well established, placing emphasis on relationships as key to supporting change for families. We nurture relationships that are respectful, collaborative and empowering with our families, supported by our highly skilled clinical team, networks and partner agencies, focusing on the whole family system rather than individuals.
H&F is a thriving borough that is always striving to develop and improve.
'Outstanding' services
Children's Social Care was judged 'Outstanding' in our last Ofsted inspection in March 2024 which reflects our firm commitment to improve the lives of our youngest residents and their families.
The report recognises the care, professionalism, empathy and tenacity of our staff and the service they provide, and is a testament to our unwavering dedication to our children, young people and families right across H&F.

The Youth Justice Service also received an overall rating of 'Outstanding' following an inspection by HM Inspectorate of Probation in July 2022.
It's an exciting time to join us with opportunities to work in a range of teams with different specialism.
