Overview

11 Farm Lane in Fulham is the site of a former children's home. The site is underutilised and provides an opportunity for the delivery of high-quality new homes in the borough.

Hammersmith-based architects Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands were appointed as the lead architects to deliver a highly sustainable development.

As the developer of this project, Hammersmith & Fulham Council will retain the ownership of the site and will manage all affordable homes provided on the site, along with the maintenance of communal and external areas.

New homes

The development will deliver 31 new homes of which at least 50% will be affordable. 10% of the new homes will be wheelchair accessible.

Current position

Hammersmith & Fulham Council has appointed Neilcott Construction as the construction contractor to build the new homes. Neilcott took over the site on 19 August 2024.

In the coming weeks Neilcott will be carrying out preparatory works on site including protecting trees, clearing shrubs, removing the front brick wall to establish the site entrance, setting up site offices and welfare units, and erecting hoardings.

Next steps

Demolition of the existing building on site will commence on 30 September 2024.

Main construction works will begin in November 2024. The overall target is for the homes to be completed in Summer 2026.
