Guidance notes

A notice clearly displayed in a prominent position in the HMO giving the name, address and phone number of the person who is the manager of the HMO

Display a copy of the licence in a prominent position within the licensed property at all times

Or provide each of the occupiers with a copy of the licence at the start of their tenancy

Relevant planning consent in place

Required for 7 or more occupiers for use as an HMO; and for some alterations

Alterations comply with Building Regulations

A certificate of compliance with building regulations may be required
