
Local students celebrated their exceptionally strong A-level results with family, friends and teachers on Thursday (14 August).
Every school in H&F is currently rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and local students received the grades to match.
Cllr Alex Sanderson, Deputy Leader of H&F, said:
We couldn't be prouder of every single young person who's got their A-level results today. If you didn't quite get the results you were expecting, don't worry, we have loads of opportunities right here in H&F and we're here to support you every single step of the way. I also want to say a big thank you to every single member of the teaching community who are making sure our young people get to fulfil their potential."

Across the board students in H&F achieved outstanding grades, including:
- 30% of students scoring A* to A
- 58% of students earning A* to B
- 80% of students receiving A* to C.
More smiles
Students at Phoenix Academy in White City achieved its best-ever A-level results – with 25% of students achieving all A and A* grades. And almost 60% of pupils receiving A* to B. Last year, the school was rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
Happy students who secured places at top universities include Nawal who's going on to study medicine at Queen Mary University after receiving an A* and two A grades. She'll be joined by Ridwan whose A*, A and B secured him a place to study Finance and Economic.
Classmate Radwan achieved two A* grades and an A, securing a place to study Aerospace Engineering at UCL.
And Jazmine is heading off to Kings College London to study Psychology after earning two As and a B.
"We are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication shown by students and staff alike in what has proven to be yet another record-breaking year at Phoenix," said a spokesperson from the school.

Fulham Cross Sixth Form
Smiling students filled the halls of Fulham Cross Sixth Form in Kingwood Road, after receiving the best A-level and BTEC results in the school's history.
The majority of leavers are heading to top universities and competitive apprenticeships.
Sally Brooks, Executive Principal of Fulham Cross Academy Trust, said:
We are thrilled to see our results continue to improve year on year, particularly in the STEM subjects. It has been inspiring to watch our students grow throughout their time with us.
We are particularly proud of those students who have been with us for the full seven years and have now got fantastic A-level and BTEC results to add to amazing GCSE grades."
Student success stories include Hadjer Mohammadi, who is heading to King's College London to study dentistry after achieving an A* in Chemistry, A in mathematics and A in biology.
Fellow pupil Ibrahim Kasunmu earned three B grades in biology, chemistry and psychology and will go on study chemistry at university. He said: "Thank you to Fulham Cross Sixth Form for supporting me on my journey to allow me to achieve these grades."
After achieving three A grades in mathematics, physics and chemistry, Keilan Crawford is off to the University of Bath to study physics. Classmate Leiliani Douglas-Roberts scored A grades in biology and chemistry as well as a B in physics. She's planning a gap year to prepare for a career in medicine.
Some other high achievers include Isra Ahmed who earned a Distinction in Health and Social Care, A in biology and B in chemistry. Isra, who will study radiography at London Southbank University, said: "I am so happy with my results and the grades I have achieved."
And Shawal Hussein will attend University of Nottingham to study psychology after getting a Distinction in health and social care, A in sociology and C in psychology.
Alan Jones, Head of School, added:
Their results reflect the countless hours spent in lessons, revision sessions and independent study. The future for our students and our Sixth Form is exceptionally bright."

Hammersmith Academy
Pupils snagged prestigious places at Oxford and Russell Group universities to study subjects including law, neuroscience, medicine, economics and fine art.
Students from Hammersmith Academy in Cathnor Road also celebrated securing competitive degree apprenticeships with L'Oréal and National Highways.
The results showed 75% of A-level grades were between A* to C and half were between A* to B. Vocational results were equally impressive, with 62% of BTEC grades at Distinction* or Distinction and 100% at Merit or higher.
Headteacher Gary Kynaston praised the students:
This year's A-level and BTEC results are a powerful demonstration that education at Hammersmith Academy is about more than just grades. Our students are stepping confidently into the next chapter of their lives. They have combined academic excellence with the skills, resilience and ambition to thrive in the real world."
Head Student Anisha Ali was this year's top achiever – scoring A*, A*, A*, A. She's off to the University of Bath to study mathematics.
Anisha said: "Balancing the demands of four A-levels, extracurricular activities, a part-time job and my personal life was one of the toughest parts of Sixth Form. The support from friends and teachers at Hammersmith Academy has been incredible."
Fellow Head Student Musa Said achieved an impressive two A*s and an A and will read mathematics at Queen Mary University of London. He added: "All my teachers were great and made extra effort to help us, from running interventions to marking answers outside of lessons."
Georgia Marshallsay continues the Academy's Oxbridge tradition, securing three A grades to study fine art at University of Oxford, while her brother Leo Marshallsay earned a A*, a Distinction* and a B and will study product design at University of Leeds.
Pupil Sean Hamilton has secured his place at University of Edinburgh to study Japanese and linguistics. He added: "I feel both grateful and relieved to have secured my place at university. I'm excited to study subjects I couldn't take in Sixth Form and to make the most of my Year Abroad in Japan."
Classmate Leah Fernandes will go on to study medicine at University of Southampton. She said: "I feel so relieved and incredibly proud. It's a dream I've been working towards for so long, and finally realising it feels unreal."
A number of students have also secured apprenticeship places, including Lily Traykov who will start marketing degree apprenticeship with L'Oréal and Khalil Ali who's pursuing a civil engineering degree apprenticeship with National Highways.
West London Free School
Students at West London Free School are celebrating their best ever A-level results after achieving some of the finest grades in the country.
A record-breaking 87% of grades were awarded at A*, A or B, with almost half of students achieving three straight As and A*s.
The school has seen remarkable year-on-year improvement, with 60% of all grades now A* to A, compared to just 31% in 2019.
Outstanding individual success stories include Emma, who achieved three A*s in French, Spanish and history and will read history and modern languages at Cambridge. Meanwhile, Tilda secured A*, A*, A in religious studies, Latin and maths, earning her place at Cambridge to read classics.
A record 13 students will be studying at Oxbridge – up from seven in 2023 – with nine heading to Oxford and four to Cambridge.
Among them, pupil Noah achieved A*, A*, A in history, religious studies and politics and will read history at Oxford.
Other standout achievers include Marcello, who earned A*, A*, A*, A in maths, further maths, physics and economics and will study mechanical engineering at Bath, and Seb, whose A, A, A in biology, chemistry and maths has secured his place to study medicine at Nottingham.
The overwhelming majority of students have secured places at their first-choice destinations. Students from disadvantaged backgrounds have achieved places at leading institutions, including film and English at Bristol, international relations at Queen Mary, and philosophy and English literature at Edinburgh.
Joint Headteachers Ben McLaughlin and Robert Peal said:
We are absolutely delighted with the results this year! We knew our Year 13s were working hard, but we had no idea how hard. Their astonishing grades cement our place as one of the best state schools in the country to study A-levels."
Ark Burlington Danes Academy
Students at Ark Burlington Danes Academy, W12, are heading to top universities after acing their A-levels.
The school saw a significant increase in performance this year, with 72% of their students achieving three A* to C grades, 24% more than last year.
Students will be heading off to pursue higher education at top institutions including Imperial College London, The University of Manchester and University College London.
Maths wizz Vitor-Emanuel Pereira Da Silva achieved a fantastic result of A*, A*, A. He is going to study maths at the University of Warwick. He added: "I want to thank my physics teacher, Mr Robinson, for his persistence in teaching me and encouraging me to aim high."
Ark Burlington Danes Academy Principal, David Carr, said:
Huge congratulations to our year 13s. These brilliant results are testament to their hard work and to the dedication of our whole school staff team. It is fantastic seeing so many secure the A-level and BTEC grades needed to allow them to progress to university. We are very proud of them and cannot wait to see them go on to be the ones to make our world a better place."
Some pupils also secured sought-after degree apprenticeships, allowing them to earn while they learn. Including Muna Nur who will be taking up a highly competitive apprenticeship at Salesforce.
Sacred Heart High School
Sacred Heart celebrated another year of exciting results. Every student in Year 13 was offered a university place and 81% of of grades achieved across the year group were A* to C.
A spokesperson said:
A huge congratulations to our Year 13s for all the hard work they put into their exams and for another set of fantastic A-level results, including an increase in the number of A* grades achieved.

The Fulham Boys School
Students at Fulham Boys School have plenty to celebrate after achieving another exceptional set of A-level results on Thursday (14 August).
The Fulham Road school continues its upward trajectory, now ranking in the top third of all schools nationally for student progress at A-level. Just under a quarter of all grades were awarded at A* to A and more than three quarters achieved A* to C grades.
All boys sitting BTEC qualifications excelled, earning an average grade of Distinction*. Meanwhile, the school's fine art, economics and religious education departments ranked in the top 5% nationally for student progress.
Standout students include Maxim Subbotsky, who has secured a place for maths and computer science at H&F's own Imperial College London; Kobe Quach, who is heading to University College London for maths and economics, and Thomas Pickering, who will study maths at the University of Bristol.
The overwhelming majority of students will progress to world-class universities, with 86% securing places at their first-choice institution. A record 54% of university applicants have earned places at Russell Group universities, including Durham, Exeter, Warwick, Bristol, Nottingham, Bath, Leeds and Birmingham.
Headmaster David Smith commented:
These results are testament to the huge amount of hard work from our boys and staff. We are incredibly proud that, through years of uncertainty, our young men have fought hard to achieve and go beyond their potential.
The academic achievement matters but so does the character displayed by our students. I want to thank our staff for firmly establishing our Sixth Form as a springboard for success."
