The Macbeth Centre has announced 25 exciting new summer courses.
From Tuesday 22 April, courses covering everything from upholstery to computing and fitness will be starting up at the centre – just off King Street in Hammersmith.
The brand new classes include ballet, hand stitching, short language courses and more. Plus, we're offering pottery throwing courses as we've added new wheels to our state-of-the-art studio.

New courses added
Our summer programme caters to all interests and abilities. Whether you're looking to learn something new or meet like-minded people in your community, we offer something for everyone.
We've added four new accredited crafts courses including stained glass, jewellery, upholstery and ceramics. Plus we've got free digital skills classes as well as a cooking course.
You can brush up on your Italian, Spanish and French in our language classes or learn the basics of British Sign Language (BSL) in our new introductory course.

Our new BSL tutor, Maria Mavrommatis, explained: "I can't wait to teach BSL at the Macbeth Centre. It is such a friendly, welcoming learning environment. I am really looking forward to it.
"I am passionate about BSL. I really enjoy making my lessons fun, interesting, full of student interaction. My goal is to inspire students, just as I was inspired, to learn BSL and to continue their learning journey beyond the classroom."

Celebrating 150 years of education
This expansion of our curriculum comes as the Macbeth Centre celebrates its 150th anniversary of providing education in Hammersmith.
The landmark birthday will be marked with special events throughout the year, including an arts and crafts exhibition and a free open day.
The Macbeth Centre, which first opened its doors in 1875, has been at the heart of education in the borough for generations. You can learn more about its rich history on our website.
