The Made in H&F pop-up shop returns in time for Christmas. Now located in the Hammersmith Broadway Shopping Centre, it is funded by Hammersmith & Fulham Council as part of our efforts to help showcase local independent creative businesses.
The pop-up – near Tesco and Dunkin' – stocks products from 28 local artists, painters, jewellers and fashion designers.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm, and 10am to 5pm on Saturday. The pop-up will run until mid-January.
Cllr Zarar Qayyum, H&F Cabinet Member for Enterprise and Skills, said:
In H&F we have so many incredible small businesses that we know shoppers love. It's fantastic that we're able to bring some of them to the high street so that even more residents can discover their work. I'm sure they'll add to local shoppers' festive fun this year."
Pop along to our pop-up
The Made in H&F pop-up was made possible thanks to support from Hammersmith BID and the Hammersmith Broadway Shopping Centre, which helped secure an affordable retail space and connected with local traders.
"It's brilliant to be working with Hammersmith & Fulham Council and the Broadway Centre to bring our Made in H&F Pop-up store to life," said Livia Caruso, Hammersmith BID Director.
"The shop is a great addition to Hammersmith's retail offering and will be a boost to Christmas footfall during the 'golden quarter' that's so important for all our businesses. It also offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase the many talented local makers in our borough."
Tea towels to trinkets
Artists selling their products include Julia Davidson, who creates embroidered art and tea towels, and Holly Smith, who makes beaded charms, wrist straps and phone lanyards.
There's also artwork for sale – everything from watercolours to oil-on-canvas paintings to pencil drawings – by local artists including Elena Meini, Natalia Bobrova and Vitaly Dzhalilov.
