Are you ready to make your mark in one of London's most exciting theatre landscapes?
The Lyric theatre is on a mission to find London's future stars through the next cohort of their Springboard training programme.
Open to 18-to-25-year-olds in West London with a passion for acting, the FREE course offers the opportunity to learn the trade under professional guidance and will be looking to help highlight artists who come from underrepresented backgrounds in theatre.
Each year, ten new trainees are selected to spend two days a week learning about theatre, practicing performance skills, and preparing for careers in the industry. This year's cohort put on a dazzling performance of The Trojan Women (after Euripides) in September.
Established in 2022, the programme has helped more than 75% of graduates attain professional representation.
They've gone on to perform in TV commercials, BBC Doctors and have performed in or created plays at the Lyric, The Bush and National Theatre Studios.
Rob Lehmann, Director of Young Lyric said: "We are looking for people with a spark of talent and a ton of potential. If you enjoy performing and live in West London, then we can't wait to meet you!"
"My advice for anyone applying would be to start preparations for a monologue early on. We have plenty of helpful resources to help you find the right piece so get in touch with us."
H&F Council is proud to support the Lyric's ongoing efforts to bring world class theatre to our borough. Keep an eye out for their production of Aladdin, which will be soaring its way through the festive season from November 16.
