Did you feature in a reality film about day-to-day life in Hammersmith more than 30 years ago?

If you were part of the Brackenbury Village community in the 1980s, you won't want to miss a nostalgic screening of Two Sides of a Street, a real-life soap opera focusing on residents of Cardross Street.

The 40-minute movie was filmed and narrated by John Pitman, a long-time local resident who died in 2018.

Now it's coming to a screen in Hammersmith's Grove Neighbourhood Centre, 7 Bradmore Park Road, for two exclusive showings on Tuesday 22 October, at 4pm and 7pm.

The event is being sponsored by local independent estate agents Horton and Garton, and promises "a fascinating look back at the community and characters of Brackenbury Village".

First broadcast in 1989, the film is humorous and nostalgic and will particularly interest anyone living in or around the area at the time.

Tickets are £12, with the afternoon showing including cake and refreshments, and the evening screening including a glass of wine.

You can buy tickets in person at the centre between 10am and 4pm weekdays, or call 020 8741 3321, or email: gnc@groveneighbours.org.uk
