W12 was in hysterics this week, as The Bush Comedy Festival began in H&F.
The four-day festival has already brought some of the best comics around to Shepherds Bush – with more shows to come.
It all kicked off on Wednesday, with the opening gala at Bush Hall on Uxbridge Road.
An all-star line-up included Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and Netflix star Catherine Cohen, Taskmaster NZ's Two Hearts & Live at the Apollo's Celya AB.
Also performing were Amy Gledhill (who you might have seen on Would I Lie To You), Emma Sidi (soon to be seen on Taskmaster), Paul Williams, Nabil Abdulrashid and Felicity Ward.
H&F Leader Stephen Cowan, Cllr Sharon Holder and Chief Executive Sharon Lea were also in attendance, taking in the laughs!
The festival is presented by award-winning production company Berk's Nest, with financial support from Hammersmith & Fulham Council.
A packed line-up
The big names continued into Thursday.
Former Never Mind The Buzzcocks host Simon Amstell performed at Bush Hall, Taskmaster winner Sophie Duker was at Bush Theatre, and three-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Larry Dean debuted new material at Next Door Records.
Ghosts, Sewing Bee and Stath Lets Flats star Kiell Smith-Bynoe also brought his improv showcase Kool Story Bro to Bush Hall, with a very special guest – Hammersmith-born international pop star Lily Allen!
Lots more to come
The festival continues on Friday evening, with sets from Grace Campbell, Sara Pascoe, Colin Hoult and more.
Then on Saturday, Mat Forde, Morgan Rees, Desiree Burch and Alice Snedden are amongst those taking to the stage.
On Saturday afternoon, Bush Hall will also be hosting Comedy Club 4 Kids, where the best stand-ups and sketch acts from the circuit to do their thing for an audience of children (aged 6+) and their families - but without the rude bits!
