Local support
Local pharmacist, Sailesh, runs Jays Pharmacy in Uxbridge Road in Shepherds Bush – one of the seven local pharmacies offering support.
As a stop smoking advisor, he offers face-to-face and telephone consultations.
"Having non-judgmental support can improve people's confidence around stopping smoking," said Sailesh, who's worked as a pharmacist for more than 40 years.
"It's so important for people to quit to help prevent medical issues like lung and heart problems and to improve general health."
"Any time is a good time to stop – even if you think it's too late – it's still beneficial."
