H&F athlete targets Olympic gold

Local athlete Molly Caudery is aiming to go higher and higher following her recent gold medal at the World Athletics Indoor Championships.

Local athlete Molly Caudery is aiming to go higher and higher following her recent gold medal at the World Athletics Indoor Championships.

The pole vaulter has now set her sights on competing for Great Britain at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer where she is one of the favourites for the gold medal.

The 24-year-old has had a superb start to the year including improving her personal best to a world-leading 4.86m in February.

Molly normally trains with H&F based athletics club, Thames Valley Harriers, located at the Linford Christie Stadium in Shepherds Bush. The club is a dedicated home to athletes of all abilities to develop to their fullest potential and compete in their chosen divisions.

"Thames Valley Harriers is delighted with Molly's fantastic achievement of becoming the World Athletics Indoor champion at Glasgow in March this year. She has increased her performance consistently over the past few months, improving by 26cm since July 2023," said Andrea Broughton, Chair of Thames Valley Harriers.

"We are very proud of her and look forward to her continuing achievements over the coming months. Well done, Molly!"
