Fulham prizefighter Zak Chelli is aiming to win two major boxing titles this weekend.
The former super-middleweight English champion will face bitter rival Jack Cullen for his British and Commonwealth belts on Saturday (20 January) at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
Chelli, who went to the former Henry Compton school in Fulham, was left frustrated the last time he got into the ring with Cullen.
The rising star in the 12 stone division was on the end of a controversial points draw decision against Cullen in August 2020 which most boxing pundits felt the Fulham fighter deserved to win.
"I will not be leaving it to the judges this time around," said Chelli. "Everyone knows I won that fight including Jack [Cullen]. That will be on his mind come Saturday night and I am going to walk away victorious this time."
"It is an honour to be fighting for the British and Commonwealth titles and something all boxers in the UK dream about when they are kids. I am now living that reality and want to do myself, my family and local community proud in the ring."
The 26-year-old, who used to be a school teacher, now trains at the State Of Mind Fitness gym in Fulham Reach with head coach Barry O'Connell who previously worked with George Groves, another boxing great from H&F. Groves went on to be a world champion in the same division after starting out in the world of kickboxing at a local club in Fulham.
Zak's fight will be broadcast live on Sky Sports on Saturday night. Keep up to date with the champion's progress @zakchelli on Instragram.
