Our Big H&F Christmas Day Lunch for older residents got a helping hand from Hollywood star Hugh Grant.

The British actor got stuck in at Monday's party in Hammersmith's Novotel hotel to serve lunch to 325 guests who otherwise would have celebrated alone.

The annual lunch is financially supported by Hammersmith & Fulham Council, alongside generous donations from local residents and businesses via local charity H&F Giving.

In total, you helped us raise more than £40,000 to make the party happen.

Cllr Ben Coleman, Deputy Leader of H&F, said: "Thanks to Hugh and everyone who donated or volunteered to make Christmas day special for residents who otherwise would have celebrated alone."

All party-goers enjoyed a live band and singer, as well as lunch, a gift bag, and transport to and from the event.

Big thanks to everyone who donated to our Christmas lunch, including the following large sponsors:

  • Dr Edward & Bishop King's Fulham Charity – £6,000
  • Earls Court Development Company – £5,000
  • Networking.London – £3,000
  • Olympia London – £1,000
  • Friends of Brook Green – £1,000
  • Hammersmith BID – £500
