We've now switched more than 450 buildings in Hammersmith & Fulham to energy-efficient LED light bulbs.
The bill-busting rollout has seen more than 23,500 light fittings and 11,000 emergency lights upgraded to more efficient bulbs in communal areas and hallways on our estates.
Thanks to the switch, H&F Council will reduce its energy bills by a whopping £540,000 every year.
Cllr Rowan Ree, H&F Cabinet Member for Finance & Reform, said: "These huge savings help keep your council tax low as we deliver ruthlessly financially efficient services. And they're also better for the environment as they last much longer and cost less to run than traditional bulbs."

Significant savings
LED light bulbs are significantly cheaper than any other form of lighting and use only a fraction of the energy needed to power a traditional halogen lamp.
They will also help cut H&F's carbon emissions by an estimated 122 tonnes every year – the equivalent of 120 return flights from London to New York.
With a 25-times-greater life expectance and zero replacement costs for the first three years, the more reliable bulbs will also reduce running costs by £8,000 a year.
