The end-of-May bank holiday weekend sees the majesty of Fulham Palace play host to a bonanza of outdoor live music, including Groove Armada.

The Live at the Palace festival sees a host of internationally acclaimed DJs turn the grounds of the Grade l listed building near Putney Bridge into a theatre of sound on 27 and 28 May for a two-day dance music extravaganza.

Saturday 27 May

Electronic music giants Ministry of Sound Classical take centre stage with a 32-piece orchestra performing iconic dance classics reinterpreted for the 2020s.

There is also a shoal of guest DJs including The Shapeshifters (still best known for Lola's Theme), Tall Paul, K-Klass (from Wrexham) with their Hacienda nostalgia kick, and the producer, DJ and remixer Seamus Haji.

Sunday 28 May

Groove Armada will perform a live DJ set. While other acts on the day include the house music supremo Dave Lee ZR, Ashley Beedle (from X-Press 2 and the Ballistic Brothers), Lou Hayter (formerly of the New Young Pony Club electro band) and boogie dance specialists Raw Silk.

Presented by Robomagic Live, the May concerts are an appetite-whetter for a Live at the Palace long weekend on 28-30 July, when Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and UB40 top the talent line-up.

The May concerts feature street food and drink stalls (card only). Gates open at 4pm, and the action finishes at 10.30pm.
