Hammersmith has been spruced up with a new Christmas tree and a feast of new winter lights.
Under the tree in Lyric Square, H&F Deputy Mayor Daryl Brown was joined by residents and local businesses to flick the switch on Wednesday night (16 November).
"These festive lights will be a permanent feature for the next three years in the town centre," Cllr Brown said. "We hope they will help residents feel safer during the long winter nights."

Energy saving lights
The festive eco-friendly LED lights are now on display in King Street and around Hammersmith town centre.
Cllr Brown gave special thanks to the Hammersmith Broadway Centre who are providing power for this year's lights, as well as the Hammersmith Business Innovation District (BID) firms that sponsored both the lights and Christmas tree.
Hammersmith BID works all year to improve the town centre and help us deliver our pioneering Industrial Strategy to make H&F the best place in Europe to work, live and socialise.
Helps us spread Christmas cheer
We're bringing Christmas cheer to 500 older residents who would otherwise celebrate alone with our Big Christmas Day Lunch.
Working in partnership with local charity H&F Giving, we're working to raise £30,000 to provide a two-course festive meal and gifts to our Christmas day guests.
Cllr Brown encouraged residents to 'please give to help a neighbour in need'. She added: "If you can, please donate to our Big H&F Christmas Day Lunch appeal and treat an older neighbour to a festive lunch, gift and company this Christmas day."
