Following the success of our recent free tree giveaway, Hammersmith & Fulham Council is set to distribute another 100 FREE trees on 3 December.
Residents can now register for the Field Maples giveaway on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Tree reservations are closed for collection on 3 December.
Ring in the festive season
As a H&F resident, you can apply for one tree per household to take home and plant in your own private space, such as land in your ownership or land under your control, like a back or front garden.
Please be available to collect your tree from our stall by the Swan Pub, at the junction of King Street and Hammersmith Broadway on Saturday 3 December between 11am and 3pm.
The giveaway will coincide with our Hammersmith Christmas Market, so why not make a day of it?
Stick around and enjoy some seasonal drinks, treats and free performances with your family, friends and neighbours.
Tree-dition
Our last tree giveaway saw 50 trees being gifted to local residents on Wormwood Scrubs.
The Field Maple saplings had previously been removed from the park so as not to overrun the local ecosystem.
The giveaways are a new H&F tradition. Instead of being destroyed, self-sown tree saplings will be removed every two to three years and handed out to local people to plant at home.
It forms part of our natural woodland management routine to futureproof our parks and help nature thrive.
Keep an eye out for the next free tree giveaway!
We are hoping to offer more trees in late January or February 2023.
