Exit page

Adherence to this policy will be monitored by managers who line manage and supervise housing staff.

Council officers within housing will follow the relevant procedure for their service area, which will align with this policy. Officers will be supported to access the appropriate training and development and will be supported to access and use appropriate case management systems in line with their role.

The effectiveness of the policy will be monitored at a strategic level through the DAHA Operational Group, the council-wide Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Board and any subsequent steering or operational groups set up to monitor the council's approach to domestic abuse.

Under the council's commitment to co-production, any reviews, implementation or monitoring of the policy will be undertaken with co-production groups and key stakeholders, including:

  • survivors
  • staff
  • domestic abuse services (including by-and-for organisations and services)
  • residents.

The policy will provide a framework for any relevant commissioning decisions.
