General Election 2024

Information about the 4 July 2024 General Election in Hammersmith & Fulham.

The General Election takes place Thursday 4 July 2024.

Depending on where you live in H&F, residents will be voting for candidates in one of 3 Parliamentary constituencies, all of which are new:

  • Chelsea and Fulham
  • Ealing Central and Acton
  • Hammersmith and Chiswick.

Important dates

The deadlines for us to receive applications to register to vote, to vote by post or proxy and for Voter Authority Certificates in the General Election on 4 July have now all passed.

Polling stations

Polling stations will open at 7am and close at 10pm on polling day.

Voter ID

You will need to show an accepted form of photo ID to vote in a polling station.

Check the list of accepted forms of photo ID (Electoral Commission website).

Poll cards

Poll cards were sent out from Friday 7 June. Please note General Election poll cards were enclosed in envelopes and printed on paper instead of card.

Election count

For the General Election, counting for the Chelsea and Fulham and Hammersmith and Chiswick constituencies will take place at Olympia London.

Counting for the Ealing Central and Acton consituency is being managed by Ealing Council.

Counting will begin after polls close at 10pm on Thursday 4 July.

Election results

Once the votes have been verified and counted, results will be announced in the early hours of Friday 5 July.
