I have been working for Hammersmith and Fulham since 2007 which is 15 years now.
I love working here and I think that the main thing that has kept me here for so long is my learning and development and my trajectory in terms of my career progression.
I have moved from starting in 2007 as a social worker quickly to a senior social worker to a deputy team manager and to a team manager and along that way I've been able to have the benefit of trying all of the different services within the borough.
So, I've worked with Children looked after, I've done long-term Child Protection, I've done parenting assessments and I've also worked in the shorter-term teams in the contact and assessment.
My current role is my favourite of all and I'm working as the professional development coordinator supporting all the newly qualified social workers as they start their career with Hammersmith and Fulham, making sure that they're welcomed in that they have everything they need and they're supported to begin their career as I did here as well.
