Queens Park Rangers will throw the spotlight on unsung heroes in Hammersmith & Fulham with a special celebration at Loftus Road.
The club are hosting a Community Day on 18 March where teachers, firefighters, police officers and NHS staff will be recognised for their extraordinary work in the area during a half-time presentation at the game with Rotherham United.
Fans are also being asked to nominate their own local unsung heroes to be lauded – with a select few being honoured pitch side during the presentation. Nominations close on 3 March.
“QPR has the community at its heart, so we wanted to show our gratitude to those unsung heroes whose contribution to the community often goes unnoticed,” said Lee Hoos, chief executive for QPR.
"They could be carers, teachers, someone running a local football team, or anyone who is putting themselves at the service of others.
“I invite QPR fans to nominate someone who they think is making a contribution to their community that we as a club should recognise.”
Giving back to the community
QPR are offering hugely discounted £9.99 tickets to charity workers, sports club volunteers and public sector workers for the match against Rotherham.

Meanwhile, the eighth annual Tiger Feet walk will take place before the game to raise money for QPR Tiger Cubs – a football team for children and young people with Down’s syndrome.
Last year, the 13-mile walk from Harlington training ground to Loftus Road made over £14,000.
“The Tiger Feet walks have gone from strength to strength,” said Fiona Hodgson, business development manager for QPR in the Community Trust.
“We were so delighted with how the walk went last year, with the QPR family showing amazing support. And we're all very grateful for any support that can be given for our trek from Harlington to Loftus Road in March.
“We’ve raised more than £75,000 over the last six years with walks to Crystal Palace, Watford, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton and West Ham.”
