Everyone can now get free Wi-Fi on the go in the borough’s town centres thanks to a deal rolled out by Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

Just search for '_Free HF WiFi' on your laptop, smartphone or tablet in the list of available Wi-Fi networks and then select it and connect.

Registered users get 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi a day and can buy more time on a pay-as-you go basis. There is no time limit for accessing services on the council’s website.

This isn’t costing taxpayers a penny as telecoms company Arqiva has paid the council to install its network on the borough’s lampposts and will share any income with the council to spend on services for residents.

“We hope residents and visitors will find the new service useful when they need a quick bit of information from the internet while out and about in the borough,” said Cllr Ben Coleman, H&F Cabinet Member for Commercial Revenue and Resident Satisfaction.

“We also hope that being able to access the council’s website free 24 hours a day will encourage residents to make use of the growing number of council services online, from paying bills to applying for a parking permit.”

The free Wi-Fi is available along all or parts of the streets below.
