We’re running new Estate Repair Days across five estates in Hammersmith & Fulham starting from this summer.
This forms part of the work we’re doing to transform our housing service and meet the needs of residents.
The repair days will include home checks, which residents can pre-book, with our team checking your doors, windows, plumbing and electrics, and carry out repairs on the day.
The events will also feature a free prize draw, face painting, and support and advice available on tenancy, rent and more from housing officers.
The Housing team will be visiting Ashcroft Square, Fulham Court, Wormholt Estate, Sulivan Court and Charecroft Estate throughout July, August and September.
We will be sending event details to all residents on those estates and plan to visit more properties in the future. Look out for updates on this webpage.
Home check and repairs – What's involved?
We will carry out the home check at the agreed appointment time. It should take no more than 30 minutes.
It will include:
- Checking your taps to ensure they are secure and free from drips etc.
- Checking your doors to ensure they are opening and closely properly, including kitchen unit doors.
- Checking your windows to ensure they are opening and closing properly.
- Checking any visible pipework to ensure it is secure and no evidence of any leaks.
- Ensuring that all water is flowing freely and that there are no blockages.
- Visually checking electrics to ensure there are no cracks or exposed wires.
Any required repairs for the above will be done on the day.
If there are any larger repairs that cannot be done on this visit, we will have supporting staff available on the day who will be able to raise a repairs order for you and give you an order reference immediately.
