The Cadets exist to give young people greater interaction with the Police, including an insight into Policing. This is achieved through weekly meetings, assisting on centrally and locally led operations and events and competitions between Cadet units across London. The Cadets are rewarded for their Volunteering by being assisted through the Duke of Edinburgh scheme - for a fraction of the actual cost.
The Junior Cadets is aimed at helping young people through the difficult transition between primary school and secondary school. We encourage interaction between the various age groups and it is a wonderful stepping stone to Senior Volunteer Police Cadets.
