Royal Mencap Society- supported internship programme

A supported internship for young people aged 16-24 who have an education, health and care (EHC) plan to find paid employment.

Over an academic year starting in September, young people on the programme complete:

  • classroom learning about the world of work and skills needed for the workplace like how to make a CV and prepare for interviews, time management, and communication skills.
  • 420 hours of work experience. This can be with employers in lots of different sectors. Employers we work with include Greene King, Mitie, Delfont Mackintosh, Guinness World Records, The Financial Times and Sanctuary Care.

16 to 24 with an (EHC) plan

Hours

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
