Nannies, au-pairs and baby-sitters are not required to register with Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education). However, in order for parents to be eligible to receive financial towards registered childcare costs, parents will need to employ a nanny that has chosen to register on the voluntary part of the Ofsted Childcare Register.
Parents who employ an Ofsted registered nanny could receive some financial contributions towards their childcare costs. There are two types of financial support available: employer-supported childcare vouchers and the childcare element of the Working Tax Credit. Eligibility to funds are based on individual circumstances. If you wish to claim make sure you ask the nanny agency for a registered nanny.
Both permanant and temporary placements as well as part time placements. Holiday cover and maternity leave cover.
