About us
We are a small, nurturing setting with a child-centred approach. Dedicated professional teachers support children's learning through close observation of their play, interests and learning styles. There is a good balance of child-initiated and adult led activities and we have a large garden which is very child-friendly. There are ample opportunities for planting, messy play and hide and seek. Our regular teachers who know the children very well also provide Yoga, French, Art and Sport sessions.
Parents are welcomed into our setting to talk to the children at Circle Time and to help us celebrate festivals throughout the year. We email photographs and observations on a regular basis and develop close partnerships with parents and carers. Jane Alway is always available for a chat in person, telephone call or by email.
Supporting children with additional needs
We strive to include SEND pupils in all activities, differentiating equipment and/or goals whilst tailoring our teaching to each learning style, interest and ability. The SENCO works closely with the families involved. All information is shared with our team to provide a consistent approach. We welcome other professionals into our setting to observe and assess children if necessary or to work with them alongside us.
