About us
The Marmalade Hedgehog Nursery School is located in the Church Hall at St Etheldreda's in Fulham. The large hall is a great nursery space and benefits from its own dedicated outside space situated next to the hall. The Marmalade Hedgehog has small class sizes to allow time for individual attention, and therefore children learn rapidly as Ofsted recently pointed out at the other Marmalade nurseries. The Marmalade Hedgehog children all have specialist teachers in a range of additional activities such as Ballet, French, Music, Gardening and Multi Sports.
The Marmalade Hedgehog ensures excellent communication with parents and teachers are available every day to talk if needed. The use of Tapestry is a great way for the parents to be involved with the school. The school is very well resourced with new equipment to help the children to learn. The Marmalade Hedgehog shares the ethos of being an inclusive school with many different religions, races and abilities at the school. We celebrate all the different religious festivals.
Supporting children with additional needs
The Marmalade Hedgehog liaise closely with Hammersmith & Fulham Early Years to ensure that we ask for support when working with children who have SEND needs. Our SENCO is a level 3 trained SENCO and has worked with SEND children for many years. The Principal also holds a postgraduate special needs degree.
