About me
The children in my setting learn and play using the activities I plan and resources I provide. I have a garden which I set up for the children where they can play with sand and water. I also provide:
- interactive toys, small world toys
- lots of books to suit all stages
- playdough
- drawing
- dressing up
- opportunities to interact with each other
One of my strong points is communication, and I encourage the children to express themselves vocally and using body language and facial expressions.
I take the children to playgroups and on park visits to Kew Gardens, Richmond park, Chiswick park, as well as Ravenscourt Park which is just 5 minutes from my home.
I have two children of my own. My son has type 1 diabetes and so I am very confident in administering insulin and monitoring blood sugar levels.
I also speak Portuguese.
Supporting children with additional needs
I have a clear approach to identifying, supporting, and responding to the needs of all children as explained in Childcare support for children under 5 with SEND. I support all children to learn at their own pace and in their own way, in a safe and positive way.
