Jack Tizard School

Jack Tizard is an all-age, 70-place, mixed-community, special school for children aged 2 to 19.

The school provides education for pupils and learners with a severe learning disability or profound and multiple learning disabilities. Children may have additional physical, sensory, behavioural, and complex medical needs. Each child either has an Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plan or is currently in the process of being assessed for one.

The site is fully accessible. Features include:

  • The total communication approach is embedded throughout the school e.g., Makaton, talking mats, touch cues, symbols etc.

  • Small class sizes (between 6-8 leaners per class)
