Community & Voluntary Sector Association (CaVSA)

Community & Voluntary Sector Association Hammersmith & Fulham (CaVSA) works directly with individual groups as well as providing opportunities for them to network and discuss common issues.

We help local community and voluntary groups to have their say on the issues that matter to them and make a difference in their area.

Our services include training, one-to-one support, representation, and a series of forums through the Community and Voluntary Sector Network. CaVSa have a Supplementary Schools' Network of after school, Saturday and Sunday classes for children aged 4-19 which provides:

- information about supplementary schools in Hammersmith & Fulham for parents, teachers, volunteers, communities, neighbourhoods & local residents

- advice, guidance, training, information and educational resource
for supplementary school main contacts, teachers, tutors, parents

- Current information on educational, cultural, arts & sports
activities

- Core curriculum support and information in English, Maths,
Science

- GCSE and A Level revision workshops

- Classes in ICT, English, cultural & heritage learning and
understanding the core curriculum & school culture for parents &
families

Our children are our future, and supplementary schools play a critical
role in raising the standard of their education in the core curriculum.
Supplementary schools can give our children confidence in
themselves through knowledge of their language, culture and history.
The benefit to the school environment, communities and to society is
incalculable in shaping the character and personality of individuals.
