Here at Hammersmith & Fulham Council we strive to make the borough a place people enjoy living and working in. We're fortunate enough to have businesses such as yourself who make a home here and are able to help us continue this work by bringing investment and jobs to the local area.
Over the years we have also been lucky enough to have several of our local businesses and clubs take an active role in the community by sponsoring our programme of free annual events.
2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day), a celebration that takes place across the world to commemorate the end of the Second World War.
Our rich history
Hammersmith and Fulham has a rich connection to the war; we were home to the Generals planning headquarters, the residence of the first Indian Flying Ace, and one of the boroughs who welcomed a large portion of the Windrush Generation to the area after the war to help rebuild the local economy. 80 years ago the borough came out in full force to celebrate and in 2025 we hope to recreate a little of that magic once again.
The event
On Saturday 10 May 2025, Ravenscourt Park will be transformed back to 1945 with tanks and armoured jeeps, re-enactors, historical displays with photos of the borough from the era, street party food zones, live entertainment from across the Commonwealth, story-tellers tent and a 1940s themed dress competition.

Prize Sponsors
For donations of £500 take a lead role in our on the day competitions including best dressed pooch, best dressed (adults) and best dressed (children). In return you will receive:

Stage Sponsors
For donations of £1,500 help fill our stage with a range of entertainment from across the Commonwealth. In return you will receive:

- Logo and name featured on stage banners and event programme
- Small pitch (3x3) at the event
VIP Sponsors
For donations of £3,000 make the event special for our VIPs which include veterans from the British Legion and beyond and ambassadors from the Commonwealth. In return you will receive:
- Social media exposure on our facebook, twitter and Instagram
- Logo featured on our website
- Access to the VIP zone for your staff and guests
- Corporate branding in the VIP zone
- Medium pitch (6x9) at the event
Zone Sponsors
For donations of £5,000 take over an entire zone of the event with your corporate branding. Currently we have a history zone, children's zone, food and drinks zone and traders zone earmarked for the event. In return you will receive:
- Social media exposure on our facebook, twitter and Instagram
- Logo featured on our website
- Logo and branding incorporated into zone signage and banners
- Small logo featured on event wide marketing materials including banners, posters and BT Screens across the borough
- Large pitch (12x15) in your zone of the event
- Work with us to decide on what goes into your zone
For donations of £10,000+ become an event partner and really put your stamp on this historic event by working closely with the Events Team. In return you will receive:
