Get your business involved with our community events

Take a look at the various ways you can engage with our communities, support local events and make new customers.

Here at Hammersmith & Fulham Council, we strive to make the borough a place people enjoy living and working in. We’re fortunate to have businesses that make a home here and can help us achieve this by bringing investment and jobs to the local area.

Over the years we have been lucky enough to have several of our local businesses and clubs take an active role in the community by partnering with us on our programme of free annual events.

Our community events programme is constantly growing and developing based on feedback from our residents.

In the last year alone, we have:

  • expanded our International Women's Day celebrations to a whole month
  • championed a Black 365 programme
  • introduced a new series of LGBTQ events.

With the new Civic Campus due to open soon we only foresee these events growing and popularity.

So how can you get involved?

Become a community champion

One of the easiest ways to be part of our community events is to help make it possible with a donation.

Whether you would like to make a one-off donation to the whole programme, or sponsor a specific type of event, we have a variety of attractive sponsorship packages available.

Depending on the level of sponsorship you could get:

  • your logo featured on our website
  • your branding featured on all events related marketing both online and offline including posters, banners and the What's On newsletter
  • a free physical presence at community events with estimated footfalls averaging 500 to 1,000 people at small events and over 3,000 at flagship events
  • your branding on one Civic Award and the opportunity to present the award to the winner of your chosen category
  • discounted use of H&F event space for 3 promotional events a year.

Whether you want to champion one specific event or a whole calendar of events, we have programmes of events that cover all areas of our community including:

  • armed forces events
  • commemorative events
  • heritage events
  • Black 365 events
  • LGBTQ+ events
  • refugee events
  • large community events such as our Pensioner's Christmas Lunch and CommUNITY Day.

If you are interested, we'd love to set up a meeting to discuss the opportunities available.

Volunteering

If you're looking for ways to use your company's volunteering days, helping at our events or in the lead-up to them is a great way to give back to the community.

Most of our events take place on weekends and present a great way to get face-to-face with the community.

If you prefer something during the workday, then our set up and pack down days are just the ticket. Whether you have time to come and help us pack a goodie bag for one of our elderly residents, or fancy helping us set up marquees for one of our festivals, there’s something different for everyone to get involved with. We’re always looking for volunteers.

Check out our events calendar to see if there is a specific event you’d like to help with.

You can also email us at events@lbhf.gov.uk to get set up on our volunteer register and be alerted to any opportunities as they pop up.
