Munster ward is located in the borough's south sub-region and is sandwiched between:
- Lillie Road to the north
- Fulham Road to the south
- Fulham Palace Road to the west
Located within the Munster ward are Lillie Road Recreation Ground and Fulham Cemetery.
The ward is almost entirely residential in character, with most commercial premises situated alongside the main arteries of Munster Road, Fulham Palace Road, and Fulham Road.
