Avonmore ward is located in the east of Hammersmith & Fulham, and is bordered to the north by Brook Green ward and to the south by West Kensington ward.
The ward is in the central sub-region of the borough.
The ward is largely residential in character, but with a vast number of shops alongside North End Road. Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College is situated there. It is relatively small ward in H&F, which has seen a 9% decrease in population size over the past ten years. It has a large working-age population.
