The youth justice team and special educational needs (SEN) services have worked jointly to produce this document.
This joint working is to support children and young people who may enter the custodial system with or without an education, health and care (EHC) plan and to advise on the support that can be provided.
This policy reflects the guidance as detailed within the SEN Code of Practice and will be reviewed on an annual basis by the relevant services.
