Memberships
A range of affordable membership options are available to residents at the three Better leisure centres; Lillie Road fitness centre, Hammersmith fitness & squash centre, Phoenix fitness centre & Janet Adegoke swimming pool. They include rates for single activities; gym only, swim only, racquet sports only, fitness class only; or more comprehensive memberships that include multiple activities. Children aged 11 to 15 years can purchase junior memberships which will allow access to the gym at specific times.

Qualifying for a concession
Concession rates of up to 50% discount are available for activities at the local leisure centres to Hammersmith & Fulham residents who meet the eligibility criteria below. Residents must prove they meet one of the following using appropriate documents when buying the appropriate card (for more information on how to prove eligibility contact one of the Better leisure centres; Lillie Road Fitness Centre, Hammersmith Fitness & Squash Centre, Phoenix Fitness Centre & Janet Adegoke Pool).
To be eligible you need to be a resident of Hammersmith and Fulham, and able to prove one of the following:
- you are aged over 60 years of age
- you are in receipt of one of the following; carer's allowance, housing benefit, job seekers allowance, or working family tax credit
- you have a disability
- you are a full time student living or studying in the borough.
LBHF concession 'pay and play' card
This is ideal for the occasional user that qualifies for a concession who can attend the 4 leisure centres for varying discounted rates depending on the time of day and the centre being visited. To get this card eligible residents pay an annual fee of £3.35 and then pay a discounted rate for the activity on each visit (a guide to the prices of individual activity is summarised in the table below).
Purchase of this card does include discounted access to the community facilities (swimming pool and gym) at Fulham Pools.

The 'pay and play' card can only be purchased at one of the three Better leisure centres, Phoenix Fitness Centre & Janet Adegoke Pool, Lillie Road Fitness Centre or Hammersmith Fitness Centre.
Better Concession pre-paid membership (direct debit)
Better offer their own concession pre-paid membership which may be suitable for some customers. It can give free access to the Better leisure centres (not Fulham Pools) at certain times during the week. Please discuss this option with one of the Better staff in the centre.

Opening times
Please see the Better leisure centre websites for more information about opening hours, peak and off-peak times as this is different at each centre. There is no last entry policy. The only rule is that you have to leave the gym by the end of your chosen session. If you wish to stay beyond the off-peak times you have to pay the peak price for the activity.
