Planning appeals

See how to appeal if your planning application has been refused.

Your right to appeal

If we refuse your planning application, you are not satisfied with the conditions of your planning permission or you have not received a decision within the statutory deadline, you can appeal to the Planning Inspectorate

This is part of the Department for Communities and Local Government

The appeal will be considered by a planning inspector appointed by the Secretary of State. While most appeals are handled in writing, some are decided by a hearing before an inspector and some after a public inquiry.
